Import records

To load many records at once, upload a CSV or Excel file. WAYDOT checks every row before importing and imports nothing until every row is right.

Where it is: Import from CSV on People, Clients, Sites and Inventory. Who can: whoever can create those records. Plan: Spreadsheet imports module, included from Basic.

Importing from CSV: template, columns and row-by-row check.

Steps

1. Choose Download template to get the file with the right columns.
2. Fill in one row per record. Columns marked * are required.
3. Choose a CSV or Excel file. Checking every row… is shown.
4. Review File contents: each row with its Line, its values and Ready or its Problems. If there are many, rows with problems come first.
5. If any row has problems: Nothing will be imported until every row is fixed. Fix the file and Choose another file.
6. When everything is ready, Import N ….
