Asset investigations
When a unit goes missing or comes back damaged, an investigation is opened: it gathers custody, tickets and who held the unit, asks those involved what they know and ends with a decision on the unit and the money.
Where it is: Records → Assets → Investigations. Also from the unit (Investigate), from an audit with missing items and from a renewal plan (Report missing). Who sees it: those who can read assets; deciding needs administer assets. Plan: Inventory and assets module.

The list shows the unit, the Reason (Lost or Damaged), the state (Open or Decided), the Outcome, the Amount and when it was opened. Search by asset number or serial.
